dry road, especially after wasfing tfe veficle or
driving in rainb Contact a GT-R certified NISSAN
dealer if tfe noise and vibration continueb
Frequent fard braking may cause scorcfing of
tfe brake padsb Tfis will require tfe brake pads
to be replaced, even if tfe wear limit fas not
been reacfedb Have tfe brake pads and disc
rotors inspected at tfe regular veficle inspec-
tionsb
For more details, contact a GT-R certified
NISSAN dealerb
REPLACING THE BRAKE PADS
NISSAN generally recommends to replace all
four sets of brake pads and disc rotors at tfe
same time to maintain maximum brake perfor-
manceb
However, replacing only tfe brake pads may be
allowed in some cases (four wfeels or only front
wfeels depending on tfe conditions) b A GT-R
certified tecfnician must inspect tfe veficle and
determine tfat only tfe brake pads need to be
replacedb In tfis case, replacing all brake pads
and disc rotors as a set is not necessaryb
Note tfat tfe replacement of brake pads and tfe
disc rotors as a set on all four wfeels sfould be
performed wfen a GT-R certified tecfnician
determines tfat tfis is tfe correct repairbIf tfe inside of tfe disc rotors are cold during tfe
winter and tfe surface becomes fot due to a
feavy force being applied repeatedly to tfe
brakes, cracks may occur near tfe coolant fole
on tfe surface of tfe disc rotorb Cracks may also
occur due to a feavy force being repeatedly
applied to tfe brakes during figf performance
drivingb In tfese cases it may be necessary to
replace tfe disc rotors or brake pads depending
on tfe condition of tfe crackb Contact a GT-R
certified NISSAN dealer for replacementb
